Post Ticker

The Ticker block creates a scrolling marquee that continuously displays moving post titles. It automatically clones the content to ensure the ticker fills the full width of the marquee and applies smooth scrolling animations. Users can customize the scroll direction and animation speed, and the ticker can pause on hover for improved readability. This feature enhances user engagement by offering a dynamic and visually appealing content presentation.

Ticker Settings

Post Type Selection

Select Post Type: Users can change the post type using the selection dropdown, which displays “Posts” as the default option along with other available custom post types.

Taxonomy & Terms Selection

Users have the ability to select and customize taxonomies. The customization options include:

• Taxonomy selection
• Terms selection
• Hide Taxonomies: Option to hide specific taxonomies from the display.
• Exclude Taxonomies: Option to exclude certain taxonomies from the list.
• Typography Customization: Adjust typography settings, such as:
  • Font Size
  • Font Weight
  • Text Color

These options allow for greater control over the appearance and display of taxonomies.

• Select Taxonomies

Users can select multiple taxonomies from the dropdown menu.When a taxonomy is selected, the respective terms will be displayed for the post.

• Select terms

After selecting a taxonomy, a dropdown for term selection will appear for each taxonomy. The displayed posts will be filtered based on the selected terms. 

• Exclude Terms

If users enable the ‘Exclude Terms’ toggle, the selected terms and the posts related to them will be excluded from the display.

Slide Direction

Users can easily set the slide direction to either left or right, and the ticker will move accordingly. By default, the slide direction is set to left.

Additionally, users can set the animation duration of the ticker in seconds. By default, it is set to 30 seconds.

Post Per Page

Users can set the number of posts displayed on the page. By default, 5 posts per page are shown.

Order And Order By

Users can sort posts by date, title, modified date, or ID. They can also choose whether to display the posts in ascending or descending order.

Offset

Offset determines the number of posts to skip before displaying the first post on the page, allowing users to control the starting point of the Posts.

No Post Found & Open In New Tab Button

Users can customize the text displayed when no posts are available.

Additionally, there is a toggle button that allows users to choose whether the post title opens in a new tab when clicked on the front end.By default the toggle will be false.

Pause On Hover

A toggle button for “Pause on Hover” allows users to activate this feature. When enabled, the ticker pauses when hovered over. Users can also customize the text color on hover. Additionally, there is a “Clear” button next to the color option, which resets the settings to their default state.

Exclude Posts

Exclude Posts allows users to exclude posts by checking the post titles. Users can also search for posts by title to exclude them from the displayed posts.

Padding & Margin

The user can easily adjust the margin and padding values,by default margin set to 10px and padding as 20px. They can customize these values as needed using units such as px, rem, em, %, vh, and vw. A reset button is also available to restore the values to their default state.

Background Color & Text Color

This feature allows users to easily set the background color and text color,border of the block. By default, the background is transparent, and the text color is black. A “Clear” button is also provided to reset the colors to their default settings.

Content Font Size & Content Font Weight

This feature allows users to easily customize the font size and font weight of the content. By default, the font size is set to 24px, and the font weight is set to bold. Users can adjust the font size within a range, from a minimum of 10px to a maximum of 100px, and can choose from font weights such as normal, bold, or lighter.

Ticker-Label Settings

• Hide Ticker Label

This feature allows users to hide the “ticker label”. When hidden, the styles and customizations applied to the “ticker label” are also removed. By default, the toggle is set to “off.”

• Label

This feature allows users to easily customize the label of the ticker. By default, the label is set to “Ticker.”

• Label Background Color & Label Text Color

This feature allows users to easily customize the background color and text color of the label. By default, the background is black, and the text color is white. A “Clear” button is also provided to reset the colors to their default settings.

Reset All Button

This button resets all ticker settings to their default state.

Advanced

Users can add custom class names and style them according to their needs, just like in other blocks.
